Steps Into Work

Our core beneficiaries are voluntary and community organisations, who are enabled to deliver high-quality employability skills training, enterprise and self-employment support to a range of communities experiencing multiple disadvantages in the labour market.

Current Programmes:

Steps into Work 2016 - 2018 (London Councils & ESF funding) will provide support to 771 beneficiaries who are long term unemployed or economically inactive from 6 south London boroughs - Croydon, Kingston, Lambeth, Merton, Sutton and Wandsworth.

As the lead partner LTEN is working in partnership with 8 organisations to deliver this programme offering a wide range of flexible activities which will support 154 participants going into FE/training and 231 into Jobs - see our leaflet attached for more information. Or call LTEN on 020 3841 6950

The programme will specifically target BAME groups, women, the homeless, those with drug and alcohol problems and mental health conditions.

The programme offers:

  • Advice and guidance about career opportunities available and gives support to participants to apply for jobs and or training
  • Opportunities for work experience placements and volunteers, which can lead to paid work

The Steps into Work programme is designed to give choice, leading to employment success
